Shopping Lists are optimized for groceries with categories, prices, and smart suggestions. To-Do Lists are simpler, perfect for tasks, checklists, and general organization.

Yes! Use the quick-add button on any list. For shopping lists, we'll auto-suggest items and categories as you type. Press Enter to add items even faster.
How do I organize items by category?expand_more
Shopping list items are automatically categorized (Produce, Dairy, Meat, etc.). You can also customize categories in your personal item catalog under Settings.
Can I add prices to items?expand_more
Absolutely! When adding items to a shopping list, you can optionally include prices to track your budget and total spending.
How do I mark items as purchased/completed?expand_more
Simply tap or click on any item to mark it as purchased (shopping lists) or completed (to-do lists). Tap again to unmark it.

Open any list, tap the menu (three dots), select 'Share List', and enter your family member's email address. They'll receive an invitation email with a link to join.
Do people need an account to view my shared list?expand_more
Yes, they'll need to create a free Family Basket account to access shared lists. This ensures privacy and allows everyone to collaborate.
Can multiple people edit a list at the same time?expand_more
Yes! All shared lists update in real-time. When someone adds or checks off an item, everyone sees the change instantly.
How do I remove someone from a shared list?expand_more
Open the list, tap the menu, select 'Share List', and you'll see all members. Click the delete icon next to anyone you want to remove.
Can I share multiple lists with the same person?expand_more
Yes! You can share as many lists as you want with any family member. Each list can have different members.
What happens if someone I invited hasn't joined yet?expand_more
Their invitation will show as 'Pending' in the member list. Once they create an account with the invited email, they'll automatically get access to your list.

Yes! Create a list with all your regular items, then tap the menu and select 'Save as Template'. You can reuse it anytime.

Templates create a new list instantly, but you can edit, add, or remove items immediately after creation.

Can I change the list type after creating it?expand_more
Currently, you can't convert between Shopping and To-Do lists. Create a new list of the desired type and copy items over if needed.

Only you can see your personal lists. Shared lists are visible only to people you explicitly invite via email.

Yes. Go to Settings > Account Settings and select 'Delete Account'. This will permanently remove all your data.
How long is my data stored?expand_more
Lists are automatically deleted after 6 months of inactivity to keep the app fast. Save important lists as templates to preserve them.

Make sure you have a stable internet connection. Try refreshing the page. If issues persist, check if you're using the latest version of your browser.
I didn't receive an invitation email. What should I do?expand_more
Check your spam/junk folder. If still not found, ask the person who invited you to resend the invitation. Make sure they used the correct email address.
Items aren't saving when I add them. Help!expand_more
This usually happens due to a connection issue. Check your internet connection and try again. Your browser might also be blocking cookies - enable them for Family Basket.
The app looks broken on my phone. What's wrong?expand_more
Try clearing your browser cache or updating to the latest browser version. Family Basket works best on modern browsers like Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
